In the era of skyscrapers and fast-growing modern technological world, do you feel if time is running out for you? The good news is, you are not alone as many people share the same feeling. I am also one amongst you who is always worried if life isn’t moving at the same pace as it is supposed to be. Every day before sleeping, I’d have nagging thoughts such as: ‘Oh god, I’m 30, and I haven’t gone for world tour and experienced Sky diving yet. What I am I doing with Life? With the little android Smartphone in my hand, when I scroll through social media accounts and find about the fame of revolutionaries, influencers, artists, writers, philosophers and scientists, even the Tiktokers, I couldn’t help but think if I am wasting my time chasing money and not leading the life I was supposed to live.

The what-I-could-be-doing-instead Syndrome

With the New Year beginning to the end of the year, we prepare a list of activities, interests, goals and wishes which we plan to do to overcome over the feelings and fear of time running out. Making those lists or having them is by no means bad. Every individual should make a list of things that he wants to do by the time he reaches the age of 30. I had my list too. However, such a list only reminds us of what you have to do and not what you are doing. Many times you may feel worthless or unaccomplished, then what’s the point of making this list? So, your focus should be more on the present plannings and efforts so as to accomplish your future goals. Be true to yourself and strictly abide by your list of resolutions always.

Am I Running Out Of Time?

With each passing year, I come across the same questions again and again: Am running out of time? Am I not able to value time in the desired way? As I take a deep insight inside my inner being, it arises a sense of worry about losing one more precious year. This feeling of running out of time mostly arises out of fear or when an individual expects to do something bigger in life but by sheer odds ends up living a pretty ordinary life. For subsidizing these thoughts, we start justifying ourselves with excuses of standard 9-5 job timings which don’t allow us for doing so. Is it a valid reason for not achieving the desire goals? Or is it the result of our laziness and haphazard way of living which hampers our daily task as well? Or is it just an excuse to overcome our faults of not being able to manage time well? Life is fantastic, but we are not ready to put the wholehearted effort to make it so.

Every Individual Has The Same Amount Of Time In A Day

Like me, if you believe it’s never too late for new beginnings, you must do away with this unpleasant feeling of time running faster than your actions. If you have $86,400 with you and someone takes $10 from it. Would you mourn and throw the entire remaining amount away? Or you would move on and live? Yes, we move on with acceptance and experience always. Similarly, we have 86,400 seconds in a day, so don’t let some seconds or minutes of negative thoughts ruin the remaining 86,390 seconds. Follow this principle strictly, and without wasting a single second, start restructuring your life by effectively using the time.

Respect time and it will pay you back at the right time!
