We all have dreams and a destination that we want to reach. But, does anything worth having ever come easy to anyone? We have to endure every sweet and sour aspect of this journey towards success. However, one of the most challenging parts here is to handle failures. We all fail at some point in our life or the other, but ultimately, failures frame our success.
Success, in this regard, is more than the destination. It is not just about achieving the goal, but the journey that leads to it. It is not always the outcome that matters, but the efforts go into it.
All of us want to accomplish something in life. It may be building a business, getting a stable job, moving to a new city or even to lose weight. But why can’t we do it even after knowing the answer to all of them? It is because we are unsure of our success and fear to fail. Sometimes this fear of failure gets so strong that it restricts us from trying again.

Success Is Built On Failures.
“The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times” goes a saying from the famous book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It needs confidence and courage to get up each time we fail. But most people fear to try again after two or three continuous failures. It happens because of mainly two reasons: first is fear of judgement. We fear being laughed at by people on our failures. Here our ego comes into play. Secondly, we fear of an emotional breakdown. We are unsure whether or not we can handle the failures ourselves. Fear of failure may also arise from an unsupportive family, a negative outlook or any horrific experiences in the past.
The problem lies in the fact that most people tend to associate failure with defeat. Failures make us learn and grow into mature beings. They are not meant to be the end, but a new beginning with new understanding and perspectives. No one has ever been able to enjoy a wild success without some significant failures. The only motto should be to keep walking on the hard stones of failure to reach the goal.
Perception Is Reality
One of the best ways of overcoming failure fears to convince oneself of its positive effects. It may hurt your ego, but you must accept that success comes from failures. Instead of being concerned about the cruel judgements of people, try to work on your self-confidence. Try to be okay with whom or whatever you are and become the best version of yourself. For, if you believe in yourself, the world will believe in you. It is your perception about yourself that matters the most.
The reason why most of us don’t take action or try is that we fear failures. What we don’t understand is that it is okay to accept failures but cowardly to accept defeat. Don’t fear failures; instead, take it as a challenge to try harder next time with more patience and determination.

“The problem lies in the fact that most people tend to associate failure with defeat. Failures make us learn and grow into mature beings.”
